The NA can be a bugger to start when you have dicked about with fuel pump etc,

I had to tow start mine in the end

It is Infinately worth fixing and driving. Tell your misses to do one if she has a go. In good condition it will be worth a small fortune soon. Find a Landie mechanic who will come out and fix it for you. Or hire a tow truck to take you to a Landie friendly garage.

It sounds like you’ve reduced your fleet enough already. The Series 3 with a galvy chassis would be a great Landy once done so I’d definitely get it finished. It sounds like your wife needs to accept a compromise, which is what relationships are about.

All well and good to hoard up projects for that "when I have time" but face the truth, you never have time and then when you do there is a motivational factor involved.

Trim down to one toy to tinker and get it on the road, spend some money if you have to but stop wasting time collecting crap, if you're wondering why she wants them all gone it's because of the list you just read off that were cluttering up the place, all she can see is this sitting there and turning into another one of them "when I have time" projects that inevitably never gets done and gets carted off, no doubt it's just an eyesore to her as it hasn't moved under it's own steam in years and that it still isn't fixed and running.

My advice is to get it fixed and run it, enjoy it and drive it around, once up and running she will accept the one but stop collecting crap as it just turns into hassle for your marriage.

I can speak from personal experience here as I have been out there tinkering on my Discovery on the nice days as it's on the open drive and it isn't any fun for the Mrs to have to hang around the house with the baby while I'm blazing away with the hot snot gun and showering Hampshire with grinding sparks when we really should be down the beach and living life as a family.

You have to try and see both sides of the argument and that, yes you both need to compromise but there were 4 cars gone in very short order and you haven't missed any of them and in truth, you can only drive one at a time and with the nipper being on mobility says he needs care so most likely you only ever drive the one motor around anyways.

Keep the 109 but spend the time and money getting it fixed and driving so that it's actually worth having, if you want garden ornaments then pop to the B&Q that way you can both be happy and there is no pressure to anything but enjoy the life you have, Confuscious says that "life is simple but it is we humans that make it difficult" he has a point here.
