So I’ve just drove into to town parked up turned my ignition off and the engine is still running ?? Could someone please explain to me how to resolve this problem ?

No it’s a 300tdi and it’s literally just started doing since I had an earthing problem on my battery and I resolved that

check to see if stop solenoid wire is staying live with ignition off,
try touching wire to siolenoid with ignition on see if solenoid clicks,
try touching wire to siolenoid with ignition on see if solenoid clicks,

thinking about it it would be simpler to start engine and just pull off solenoid wire if it doesnt stop its the solenoid,if it does ignition switch or a short to the solenoid wire
