Before I get blasted I have searched at some length and haven't found an answer.

I'm looking to spray my 1991 Eastnor Green Defender bulkhead and have been to see my local paint supplier. They've told me they can't mix up Land Rover paint even from the right paint code that I supplied, all they can do is get me to bring in a panel and match it to a big list of RAL colours they have on a chart.

This seems like a sure fire way of picking the wrong colour to me, sure there's a few dozen shades of green in the RAL spectrum but what are my chances of picking the right one? That's why I'm asking if anyone here has matched Eastnor Green to an RAL code and if so, which one is the closest match?

Cheers!

ral colours ain't for automotive paints m8, they are for industrial and agricultural applications.
you need an automotive paint supplier;)

ral colours are just a standard range of basic shades the same as bs colours(british standard)Try phoning round local motor factors, my father had a couple of aerosols made up for his disco from the landrover paint code.
