I'm Dave, just joined as I bought a V Reg Freelander 1.8 petrol. The good old K Series.
I have owned lots of Rovers and cars with K-series engines so I'm well aware of their faults and can do head gaskets blindfolded now I've done that many.
My Landy is on 78k and I dont know when it was last done, so I am going to do it anyweay just so I know. I'm fairly sure it hasn't been done for a while as the belts look worn and the alternator belt is fraying.
Anyhoo, I have other common issues with it and I'll post about them elsewhere.
