Space man
My furkin yellow nob wont stay down.......put in low ratio and clicked freewheeling hubs to 4 wheel drive but the chuffin thing wont engage.....Is this a transfer box out jobby ?

no fit some spring down the shaft the replace yellow knob.it needs pressure to stay up.worked on mine.some bod will disagree but i used a spring off a mattress...

hmmmmm cheers for the replies......the spring is working fine as it shots back up pretty rapid......just not engaging no matter what I do

the yellow knob will only stay down with the red knob forward.
yer first post reads as if you've engaged low 4wd then tried to push it down?

red knob forward, yellow knob up = 2wd high
red knob back, yellow knob up = 4wd low
red knob forward, yellow knob down = 4wd high
to raise yellow knob, pull red knob back then forward.
there's no 2wd low option.

leaving freewheel hubs unlocked can give you 2wd low

can't believe you all passed on such a obvious joke opportunity:eek::eek: of course trewey is right but you could have had much more fun telling him to go to the dr's about his yellow knob that won't stay down:p:D
