i have a stranger wurring sound comming from the alternator area of my tdi300. even while it is stationary. the sound increases pitch and volume when the accellorator is pressed. any ideas? is it a big job if the altonator needs replacing?

just make sure it is your alternator and not te water pump going easy job but alternators range from £180-£400 ish depending on part no try lucas they rebuild yours or exchange.
