I have a late 200tdi which had a oil leak at the n/s rear hub seal. I ve replaced the larger outer seal and the smaller drive shaft seal in the back of the stub axle, it now looks like it is starting to leak again after only a few days. My question is should my 10 spline drive shaft have a raised polished bit on the shaft for the stub axle seal to run on which it has not so im thinking its had the wrong drive shaft fitted at some time, any ideas?
