In the process of stripping Candy naked.. :cool:

i understand that I need a certain type of primer to cover aluminium, what sort is it?

Best basic paint, what sort and will I need thinners, or would it come pre mixed so to speak.

Never sprayed before so could do with some basic tips......:D
 
get synthetic from paddocks, spray it on a warm day, in a warm garage and it'll stick like glue, make sure you keep the gun moving and dont worry about putting thin coats on, just go over it again once its dry, if you want to see how its done come to north wales mayday bank holiday and i'll show yer ;)
 
So three spray cans of Halfords primer, and a tin of Dulux Gloss, plus brushes aint gonna work then...............
 
He he. A friend of mine used to have a Mini that was completely "painted" with underseal. Looked quite unusual (sort of like black icing on a cake) but you had to be careful during the hot weather coz it got a bit sticky :)

Just dropped in for a few minutes while we're getting ready for a day out.

Hows things over there?
 
try using a blow torch, that way if there is any oxidisation in the aluminium it will anneal it ;)
