As above, is it really worth doing and if it is, how much of a ball ache is it to do? I can see the benefits though. Any thoughts or advice or anyone who's done it?
It's on my 'to do' list when I get a round tuit .. my damper top is dented and scraped but still works, but obviously (for me) needs doing at some point. If yours isn't dented and scraped then maybe you don't need to move it ...
Get a Defender swan neck and weld a bracket on the chassis. This is the best way of doing it.
Defo worth doing if you do any off roading where you are likely to get stuck in axle deep mud. Surprisingly the Defender location for the steering damper is the best place and I've yet to damage the one on my Disco.
