Hi , would anybody know why the outer tread on both of my rear tyres on my 2003 L322 are totally worn but the inner edges are almost new after 1 year and 3,000 miles. Thanks

Possibly the camber, I have the same issue so it's going back in next week to have it checked. Out of interest what make of tyres do you have?
I'm running Avon ZX7 275/40R20.

Thanks backinblack, my tyres are accelera ? 275/40ZR22 , but once this is sorted would like to replace wheels and tyres with something more ‘ off roady ‘

Mixed reviews on Accelera, having browsed them I'd be dubious fitting these tyres to such a heavy car.

Almost certainly down to worn bushes, coupled with tyres with too little side walls.
Taller side walls are much more forgiving with wheel alignment issues, where low profile rubber band tyres are simply shredded.

I saw a car like that last week
Worn bushes as an advisory on the mot, garage didn't really want to rectify unless it was a fail

What load rating tyre does a range rover that age need?
D3 is minimum 111.
When I was looking for wheels for my D3, I found out that the D3 wheels are rated at 940 kg, but required tyres rated at 1090kg, giving a 150kg safety margin on the tyre.
The RRS wheels are rated at 900kg, and the FFRR 322 wheels are rated at 925kg.
I can't remember the tyre load index for the latter, but something 150kg over the wheel rating would make sense.

Ok results from alignment.
Started with rear wheels on the limit of positive camber and as the rear suspension was a little high we lowered it by about 25mm (EDIT: exact measurements below) and that has put me on the limit of a negative camber.
I will now need to watch the inner edges for wear. I wrongly assumed that as the suspension was attached to the subframe the ride height was irrelevant.

I was pretty sure ride height affected alignment, that's why L322 and later don't have the low ride height, only the normal ride height

I have offroad, normal, and motorway height. Following the logic from above in that the lower the suspension the more negative the camber it may now go out of tolerence at motorway height.

The p38 has motorway height/low ride height, the axle doesn't move, just the chassis/body.
The L322 is full independent so the wheels pivot as the suspension goes up and down.
I'm looking at an L322 and been reading what does what etc, pretty sure it only has access, normal and high
