Will a 24v light work on my 12v battery? Is there any consequences to doing this or will it just not be as bright as it should??

if its a standard bulb then yes it will work but it wont have any real light output, get a 12V one or if you can swap the bulb to 12V

It just looks like a standard car headlight bulb so I could try a 12v one in there, but was unsure whether anything else inside it needed changing. Will try it and see what happens. Dont want to get another one as I really like the look of this one and have no idea where they can be bought.

you can always put the neg terminal on landie battery,
put pos terminal on second battery NOT fitted to landie, and jump lead between the two
= 24v
