Hi Wild Rovers.....I wondered if anyone had used door seal from Woolies and if so could you tell me which one, am having a job trying to work out which one might fit best....at the mo I’ve only got ****ty foam seals which are doing more harm than good.

Thanks all

Front door seals have a 90 degree bend in them if you upgrade to the modern seal.
Not impossible to do yourself but easier to buy them already done.

I’d go for the large side seal in that case.
You will have to trim off the lip on the lock side of the frame so it knocks on to the edge. Not a huge job with a grinder.
Hardest bit is the double turn on the hinge side. A bit of heat often helps.

Yep. They squish down to nothing so bigger the better. You may even get it to ooze through the door gap slightly in the odd spot. Door tops are hardest to seal as they tend to flex a tad. In other words the pressure applied towards the bottom of the door top (as you close it) pushes the uppermost bit away from the seal.

Excellent, I get that. The ones I did years ago were horrible hard bloody things, had to rivet them in then the doors wouldnt shut.....☹️ Although that Rover was straighter than my present one , which has had the unfortunate experience of having been subjected to 40 years of Spanish mechanics, all of which fu kery I’m gradually putting right....
