Ok, 1996 Disco.

Had problems before, at idle engine would cut out then refuse to start sometimes would start after 10-15 minutes. At about 60KPH noticed several slight rev drops before it cut out next time it sat at idle.

Has been towed twice.

The second time it was towed after refusing to start. It has not started since.

I have done the following checks:

*Checked spark plug against block for spark. None.
*Checked centre HT lead with a spark plug. None.
*Put another coil in (from a mini). No again.
*cleaned all contact on coil.
*Cleaned contacts on little black lucas marked resistors(?) next to coil.

It seems it must no be something to do with the low tension wires from the coil. But i have no idea where to check next.

PLEASE HELP! This truck is for sale and i have people coming to take it for a test drive in a few days!!!!!!!!

Lezel.

Could someone please explain to me where the low tension leads go? Im hoping that they dont go straight to the computer as i imagine this would be an expensive item to replace.

Thanks.

look at the spider under the dash (aparently there is a terminator to overide it) on Diesels it cuts off the fuel on the petrol it cuts off the LT.
