Hey guys and gals, new here!
So I bought my first landrover a few weeks ago. Series III swb 88" 2.25 Diesel. First couple of times started without a problem, however after that, the starter seemed to sound weak. Got to a point were it was getting weaker and weaker, so having a small battery on the landy, i decided to jumpstart it. Worked fine and managed to jump start it about 3 times after that.
Got a new battery 100ah 850 A ... Still, starter would not turn the engine. A friend told me that i might be having an earthing problem, so I put new negative lead from battery directly to starter and from starter to chassis. Engine is also earthed to chassis. Fired up instantly after doing this. A day later I go to start it up, once again the starter seems to be "dying out".
Do you think its the starter that needs attention? Anything else I can try? Thanks
