Need some help.

Exhausted my wiring knowledge so need some guidance.

Tried to start the Landy few days ago. Turned key and nothing. Assumed battery was dead. Checked voltage to battery reads 12.6 volts.

Tested voltage to white cable with red stripe that goes to the starter motor whist my mate held the key in the starting position. (see picture) Voltage read 0 volts.

Assumed at this point this was a faulty relay.

Changed the yellow starter relay. Behind the fuse box.
Still nothing.

(here's where my knowledge is a bit stretched).

Tested the Relay feeds. Brown Relay displayed 12.6 volts. Assume this is a permanent live.

Tested the White cable with red stripe whilst mate held the key in the start position. (see picture). reads 0.1volts.

My understanding is that the circuit should close and 12 volts should be read from this feed.

The car has a Toad Immobiliser. I think this is screwed and failing to power the starter and fuel relays. Sent the fob away for testing all good.. (see picture). Now i'm sure that when you press the little fob against the plate the red light should stay on for about 20 seconds. Mine still flashes what ever I do.

Unless anyone has any other ideas. I think my immobilizer is screwed. Anyone know of a decent auto electrician in East Sussex area.

Any help would be appreciated...

Cheers

John

Check the voltages at the back of the ignition switch to ensure that is working ok. Then follow the main feed from the ignition to the fuse box.

Fingers crossed.
