Good morning all
Need some help 0n my td5 engine
refitting gearbox yesterday noticed wiring to oil pressure switch broken.
made up another loom but cannot find the other end to the broken black wire.
Tried searching for a wiring diagram but none on here
can anyone assist ?

thanks guys

The oil pressure switch is earthed locally through its body, as such is wired with just a single conductor.

The plug had two terminals in use or I thought were in use could I have got this wrong
Wire colour was black at connector but I found a cream wire just hanging there

found you this for disco 2

Oil pressure warning lamp The oil pressure warning lamp is connected to the instrument pack from pin C0230-6 on a WN wire to the oil pressure warning switch, the oil pressure warning switch is locally earthed. DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION DISCOVERY 4.175 If the oil pressure switch closes, an earth circuit via the closed switch contacts is completed and the oil pressure warning lamp will be illuminated. Power for the warning lamp is internally connected to a power supply from pin C0230-19. Pin C0239-19 is supplied power from the ignition feed from fuse 27 in the passenger compartment fusebox.

You are a gentleman and a scholar sir
thats just what i needed
I made up a temporary connector but have installed it on the bottom terminal of the sensor so that is why the warning is on

THANKS GUYS

yes, that terminal is earthed so you have to connect the WN wire to the other terminal, the switch is normally closed to earth so the warning is on untill the oil pressure opens it
