Can anyone shed some light on my problem? Some wires have been cut on my 94 300tdi. They come through the bulkhead on the o/s, under the washer bottle. There is a run of 9 wires. 2 orange/black, 2 yellow/black, black, green/black, red/black, all the same thickness, then there are two slightly thicker, green/brown, green/yellow.
First of all, can anyone tell me what they are for?
I reconnected them, but the vehicle will not start.
I have ignition lights. When key is turned to start position, I just get a click
(from starter relay?), which seems to be green with 5 wires, which are brown, brown/purple, black, 2x green. This doesn't correspond to the wiring diagrams in the haynes manual.
Having read as many old threads as I can find, was wondering if it could be immobilised, but if I can't find a starter relay with the correct looking wire I can't try that trick.
On that point, I've never had an alarm fob, just lock it with a key, side repeaters flash 3 times, and the light around the ignition barrel.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
