Hi all, new to this today. I have a wiper problem on my 2007 110. Wipers just seized as I was pulling on to the drive earlier. No movement whatsoever. I checked fuses etc & all ok. Checked the wiper spindles & cleaned them up a bit & they moved about 1/2, hardly any force used. Turned them on again & they work but the sweep across the screen is now different to normal & there is a clunking sound each time they sweep across the screen. Any ideas how to remedy this? Thanks in advance.

You wiper motor may be duff or has worn out its internal cog or its flimsy park unit. The park unit is an easy swap out and only a couple of pounds. But, it may also be the two drive spindles sticking where the wiper arms are driven through the bulkhead or it the drive cable from the motor to the two drive spindles. Usually the two spindles rust up and stick then the spindles sheer or the cable breaks.
Its all easily fixed and you can buy a whole replacement motor, cable.and park switch for around £100 and reuse its internal drive cog. The motor sits inside the passenger area under the left hand side of the dash,

Thanks for this, I’ll have a look again tomorrow if it stops raining here. Hopefully it’ll be the cheaper option
