hi guys i guess i already know the answer to this but thought i would ask here first.

defrosted the car this morning and wipers were working ok, then my drivers wiper stopped working but the passenger one was ok, on inspection the drive bar from the motor to the pivot point with the spindle on the drivers side has come apart, i have tried pushing them back together as i know on some cars these are on a ball but it seems it's not on the RR so i'm guessing complete new linkage required?

I believe there is no true fix other than new, but as with most things bodges abound.
In your boots I would remove the HVAC housing (2 x 13mm nuts) to see the mechanism clearly.
If indeed the joint just wont stay on the ball you could drill through the two parts and fit a 4mm bolt and nyloc nut, drilling centrally as possible.
Not sure ifthe mechanism would need removing to undertake this. Not overly tricky if so.

Alternatively, there are repair clips out there to combat this issue but again it's a bodge of sorts as there will still be some slack due to the inherent wear.
These clips are the sort of thing I'm referring to, and more than likely negate the need to remove the assembly,
I'm unable to locate a set specifically for the L322 but there must be a set that will be close enough to work, even if a little work with a dremel to open them out is required.

Failing this, buy new or used assembly. If used then ascertain from the seller/scrappy that the links don't pop off easily!

there is no ball from what i can feel it's a straight bar going into the linkage, unless the ball has sheered off, i don't think those clips will work either, i've now ordered a used linkage for £60 i can then play with the old one when it's off, the only strange thing is a boss on the spindle which needs to be pulled off with a puller, luckily i have one here. i ordered replacement lower cowl clips as well as it seems i'm missing a couple from mine

Can't think what else it would be other than a ball and socket joint.

You'll know better once you see your replacement.:)
