Can anyone tell me what size allen key I need for the little grub screw in the windscreen wiper adapters. I have tried metric today but with no joy so I presume it must be imperial.

Well as usual I did a search before posting a question.... only to find someone has asked the exact same question but it seems to have been missed. Does anyone know the answer?


I did find an allen driver that fit when I installed the rear wiper but can't find it now. I've replaced the two wiper gearboxes on the front today and had to cut the old ones off with a grinder. It's working but I can't tighten the adapter so can't risk going out in it! Doh....

Try either 1/8" or 3/32" I have found both sizes in use, depending upon the age and make of the spindles

Many thanks.... 2 1/2 hours of driving around eventually led me to B&Q where I found the only set of imperial allen keys for sale in the whole world

they were 3/32"
