Hi all

new to this forum old hand at Freelander problems. worst vehicle I've ever bought but I'm stuck with it for now. aside from clutch problems I now have the driver side window failing on me. I understand this is a common problem (and as usual Land rover won't accept any responsibility for this) and as much as I'm not particualrly technical I'd like to try and avoid Land rover thieves prices and fix the problem myself.

So if anyone out there has fixed this problem I'd appreciate any tips.

Thank you for reading

What is the exact problem, stuck open/shut or just won't work?

hi Jerry

I've had a look and it's a worn cable that has snapped. Presumably there's a way of replacing the cable as opposed to spending silly money on a new regulator? first impression is that I can crimp the cable ends and see if that works, but if you've been there and done that and know the pitfalls/chances of succeeding I'd appreciate your view.

Cheers

There is a thread on here somewhere about this. They can be fixed but make sure the length is still exact.
