hi
having spent a few months looking for a winch for my landy 90 i am about to buy one however having looked at specs on loads of different models the only question i now have is the gear reduction ratio i know it has to do with the speed of winch but which of the following ratios are better or i an reading to much into the specs

265:2:1
156:1
187:2:1

yes you are reading too much into the specs just buy one which suits your needs and budget. if it doesnt last, you didnt spend enough or your ham-fisted

thanks, i thought i was reading to much into the specs, but didn't want to buy a very slow winch
will now buy a T max 11000 winch, i think.................many thanks

most of the lowline electric winches have a similar line speed, this is all dependant on load/temperature/wire condition etc. if you want a quick winch buy the warn 8274
