Good evening all

I will be fitting a husky 12v winch to me landy soon and im am wondering what battery set up i am going to need?

Two deep cycle cranking batterys like the yellow top optima?

I run a single battery ,

I only use the winch when out playing and then not that often. Keep engine running. Seems to be OK.

I run a dual alternator set up https://projectrusty1992.blogspot.com/2018/06/fitting-gwyn-lewis-dual-alternator-on.html to power a stand alone aux circuit which includes my winch on a deep cycle lead acid battery.

I've been looking at a red top Optima for starting and a Yellow top for my aux/winching but they are expensive things considering the technology is quite old these days.
