Hi

Looking into getting some BF Goodrich or Cooper mud tyres for my standard/not lifted 1993 Defender 90. At the moment I have 235/70R16, so would 235/85R16 still fit ok considering the wings, wheel arches and my current wheels?

235/85R16 is a standard fit for some years. Your current size is actually for a Discovery. You will be fine.

If your Defender was originally equipped with 205's, then your speedo might be slightly out. But try it first and see.

Ah ok thank you 300bhp/ton thats helped me. And yes my speedo has always been out, reading about 8 miles an hour over what you're actually doing.

You should find that your speedo will read correctly with those slightly larger tyres on
