So my S3 has had a 200tdi fitted by its previous owner and the associated modified downpipe is badly made & right up against the chassis rail. Before I fit a new downpipe (the ones made for these conversions) how likely am I to struggle removing the three nuts & old downpipe from the manifold? Is a weeks spraying of wd40 or similar required or will the rust gods take mercy on me?

I would buy a can of silkopen or similar (not WD40) and a set of these. 9-pc Fractional Bolt Extractor Set - Tools - IRWIN TOOLS

Dunno what my worry was about:D Came off a treat although tightening up the new one was a sod until I removed the bulkhead/chassis brace then it went quick!
