I've a feeling my UJs are on they're way out so I'll be taking the rear prop off to replace them, at what point would a wide angle prop be beneficial? I'm not on a lift kit but I'm running bigger than standard tyres- 265/75/16s instead of 235/75/16s.
 
Wide angle are only needed really for when your articulation makes the prop UJ's bind whilst you try to move. On standard suspension the size of tyre doesn't matter, you don't really change anything with regards to the props .. :)
