Hub center to wheel arch with factory coils and shocks:
- Front driver: 484mm
- Front passenger: 493mm

After installing Dobinsons springs and standard Terrafirma shocks:
- Front driver: 515mm
- Front passenger: 526mm

The driver’s side coil is longer… why does that side sit lower?

D2a V8 Australian (right hand drive), no bullbar or accessories
 
Did you measure and fit the springs yourself and you are 100% sure they were not mixed up?
I also have that issue?
Have checked, thought I had put the spring on incorrect! They were colour coded to Nearside and Offside but were installed correctly!

Then checked the shocks! Again installed correctly!

It is just noticeable with no kit in the back!

It appears the D2 V8 front suspension springs are not ‘handed’… if correct its the same as the D1 V8 and the early petrol engine RRs.

The D2a springs are handed: drivers side one is noticeably longer

But it’s the passenger side that sits higher in my case anyway

Yep, installed correctly and also the previous ones were out of the factory like that…
 
BTW, based on this complementary issue https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-ro...o-lower-at-traffic-lights.393427/post-5755348 there is a possibility that the front ACE actuator to be stuck closed or a misballance between the two and as it's on the front right side it can keep the spring under pressure... release slightly the banjos on it see if the piston is released a bit or not... after that go for a ride where you can drive as fast as possible cornering both sides and braking many times and the system will bleed itself

Oh wow! Interesting

What banjos do you mean to release?

My ACE fluid is blacker than black, so I need to change that actually, maybe there’s a clog

Also, got quite a harsh ride even though they’re new shocks and springs: not sure what it’s supposed to be like since the old ones were pretty old and really soft

Those on the actuator to the pipes... though if you want to change the fluid anyway remove only the filter from the valve block to release the fluid then shake the vehicle's body all around as hard as you can eventually jack up hard the driver's side to see the piston coming out then after these actions measure heights again

Thanks mate! Jack up at the front right? Under right side of axle?

Should I do this with the fluid out and filter open? Or when refilled?
