...right arms so tanned?

Ill let you into a secret, the steering wheels in Defenders are about 2 inchs away from the drivers side window. So nearly all defender drivers have to drive with the window down and their arm sticking out.

I cant drive past one now without looking at the crazy wheel postion!
I sometimes get the defender drivers attention and wave my right elbow, just to show how much more roomy my fantastic little freelander is....

:-D

Bet you walk with a "mince" to your nippet arsed step as well. "My fantastic little freelander", how twee is that?

So many t!imes it's been said so far and still they don't get it, when Tina Turner brought the song "Simply the Best" it was written with a Freelander in mind....:D:D:D:D

"The Best" is a song written by Mike Chapman and Holly Knight, originally included on Bonnie Tyler's 1988 release Hide Your Heart, in reference to Tom Mason. The song was then recorded and released as a highly successful single by Tina Turner in 1989 on her hit album Foreign Affair. The saxophone solo on Turner's version is played by Edgar Winter.

1997 Freelander is launched.:confused::confused::confused:

And no doubt we would wave two fingers back, fantastic and freelander, never seen those two words in the same sentence before.

Funny that, I can drive my Defender without opening the window.

I must admit the space between the steering wheel and door in a freelander just doesnt quite win it for me......

It's true, when driving pretenders I have to adopt the fetal position and hang an arm out the window like a black taxi driver :D :p

i usually do that just after i twitch the steering over the white line and see their eyebrows disappear under their fringe :D

I can see how the misunderstanding ocurred.

Tina Turner did indeed wrote a somewhat prescient song about the Freelander.

"We need a new VCU" was used as the sound track to the Film 'Mad Max 3' where an enraged Mel Gibson roams a post apocalyptic landscape, hist trusty freelander having let him down, he is named 'the walker' by a bunch of scrawny brat / followers.

The Tratter boys meanwhile have gone feral in the Thunderdome.....
