Hi, need some advice.
I’m in the middle of replacing the rear cross member of my TD5 Defender 110, 1999 T reg, and I had a mishap with the fuel tank.
Disconnecting the lines, I snapped one of the clips on the fuel tank sender unit. (It’s actually the clip on the HP feed connector line (green).
The sender is fine, but how do I go about fixing the plastic pipe on the fuel line? Do I need to replace the whole fuel line, or can I buy a kit to put a new end on the fuel line? The pipe feels rigid, so not sure a jubilee clip will close it... If I can splice the fuel line with jubilee clips, then I suppose I just need to find a sender at the scrappy maybe... but the rigid line makes me think this won’t work and I might need a whole fuel line.
Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.
Stan.
