Not sure about "Too cold to snow"... How'd you work that one out? If it snows in Antarctica at -50 Basingstoke at -10 isn't going to put up much of a struggle :D

Temps sound about the same as ours... had -16 the other night though.
 
Charles make another valid point people should take more responsibility,but i think also the goverbent should enforce the use of winter tyres like they do in some parts of the continent.
This thing about towing eyes well its been said a zillion times.

He's dead right, people really should take more responsibility. People just dont seem to have a clue, the government shouldn't need to tell you to put snow tyres on in the winter. Its common sense really.

agree its common sense--but how many BMW's do you see with low profile go faster tyres dumped at the side of the road.;)

Lol, I know, thing is you hardly really see any cars with snow tyres do you. And pretty much every new car has low profiles with alloys and getstuck in even the lightest of snow.

yu is the sciontist - int it to do with upper atmosphere temps and ground temps???

erm daft when i was in italy skiing it was -28 and we had a blizzard during the night the ol too cold to snow is an old wives tale
