Hello all,

Ive been sorting out the chaos of my wires (headlights) and finally got to a point where it all works (eventually, fun playing with earths) but theres 4 redundant wires. 2 are wrapped behind each headlight bowl in the wing. Both have a thick white with black strip on and a black earth. The lights on the series are H4 and work well. The bus was built/registered in 1981 so was wondering if it came with sealed beams and has been upgraded?

I also put on the multi meter to the wires and didn't pick anything up either with lights on of off. Also the white wire goes into a single one with a black cover all the way to the bulk head so will investigate further.

Many thanks as always

I've got wires like that. No idea what they are for. I did have front spots years ago but my mot garage removed them.

maybe thats what they are John. I bet they lead to the back of the instrument cluster and aren't connected to anything. Looking at sealed beam units they may have been used for them!

Update on the wires that went underneath each front wing (heavy ign type white with black line and a separate black earth). I've followed the wires and it goes into the coil on the distributor wire side. Basically 2 wires into one terminal with one wire going to the dizzy and the other being the redundant one i found. Does anyone else know what this could have been used for? I've removed all the wire and its all a lot tidier now.

Thanks

Rich
