Hi Gang,
Fitting a radio later today, need advice on which colour wire i need to feed from on the back. I've an 1985 110 3.8 V8 van. Need to know which one is live after the first click, don't have a multimeter (I know I know, will need one evenyually!)

Had a look in the manuals but...I'm a bit thick!

Cheers

two things, BM.
first make yoself up a test lead with a 12volt light bulb and a pair of flying leads - brilliant device for checking live power.
secondly - if yu have a cigarette lighter, that is usully live on the first click, occasionally all the time.

yu can, of course, use an always live feed, it just means you need to remember to turn the radio off, else it will drain the battery.

If the wiring's the same as '91 defender, then you should have a
thick white (switched ignition)
thick brown (constant live)
Thick black (earth)
