i'm currently running 205 16s on the original landrover rims on my 1982 swb landy but these are nearing the end of their life.
what i would like to know is how much bigger can i go on tyre width with the landrover rims?
should i go bigger or will this make it even harder to park or should i stick with 205's?.
also when trawling the web for tyres i found some that were 205 80 16's,are these ok as all it says on the side of the ones i have at the mo is 205 16?
cheers

the 80 figure is the profile of the tyre. thatll be ok for your series.
205mm is the width and the 16 inch is the wheel diameter.

you can certainly go one size up if required. (width wise).
be careful with the profiles though, it can alter your speedo reading.

205/80R16 are 205R16. You can go to 7.50 x 16 or 235/85R16 but ideally on LWB or 110 rims which are wider. See my thread for tyre size guide.
