hello
just been looking at towbar and wondered which you considered to be better the gen landrover all in one or some after market job that the ball bolts to??? i have the wiring so just need to know about the strenght

I tend to go for accessories that i can sell on afterwards if i need to. I went for a second hand genuine LR detachable towbar from ebay. Easy to fit and use, very neat fit, no cutting of bumper so all looks ok after removal.

I have the Landrover detachable type fitted to my Freelander. It is the best towbar, (and most expensive!) I have ever had. No problems at all and detaches easily and looks neat.

I bought a bosal one off ebay, came as a complete kit with wiring. Took an hour to fit on my drive in the dark, but it's really solid, and I've never had any doubts about its strength.

cost about £80 inc. vat and delivery

+1 on a second hand genuine landrover bar from ebay .
Mine was £80 & came with electric plug , Was easy to fit & a very strong bar .
