can anyone tell me what gearbox oil goes into my freelander td4 2.0 se, my local car shop went on his comp looking for atf 402 and said its not made. he took my reg and said that Granville atf - mv will go into it, im not sure can anybody help with a brand i can get in the uk. thanks...

u can buy it from ur land rover dealer, but it costs I think around 10 quid per litre

if u go onto the freelander section there are plenty of write ups about the Jatco gearbox as it has to be done correctly, the level has to be taken with the engine running and at the correct temp

also there is a warning of which bolt not to take out otherwise u end up with no reverse
