Hi All.

I'm in a fortunate position that I'm able to buy a Range Rover but which one do I go for and why?

My budget is up to 38k
I would like one with low mileage and some manufacturers warranty left on it.
I would like some toys if possible as well.

I aim to swap over in June/July this year.

I like the look of the HSE TDV8 Sport but everyone I speak to about this subject seems to have differing opinions on the Sport or Vogue.

I'm trying to arrange test drives of both of these vehicles but that is proving harder than I thought. The local dealer basically told me he has no stock and his attitude was a disgrace to be honest.

Just hoping people on here can advise thoughts and preferences.. What should I defiantly have on the car.. etc.

What mechanical / electrical issues are there I should be looking out for.. any Tyre wear issues etc.

Your knowledge would be much appreciated.

Bob.

I've never driven anything younger than an '04 D3 ... so I'd suggest a D3, a very capable machine ... ;)

Having said that, it all depends on what you want it for .. to be honest I don't like the newer models and I'd rather have an older D3 and a couple of different older Landrovers for different jobs, a Trials machine and an all-round green-laner as well as the road one .. which I reckon I could get for that money ... ;)

You'll get a very tidy L322 Vogue for that kind of money.

If you test drive one, you'll never look back.

Good luck!

The Sport is based on the Discovery3, so is really a tarted up D3 and not a real Range Rover. Get a Sport and people will either think a) you can't afford a proper RR, or b) you are a drug dealer and not a very good one at that, because you can't afford a proper Range Rover.

Personally, I would do the same as Paul. Get a D3 and also a Defender and spend some money on personalising both of them. Maybe even get a trailer and tow the 'fender to and from pay and play days using the Disco.

thanks all.
This is the sort of feedback im getting about the sport. Everyone just seems to think its a tarted up D3.
I think I may move my looking more towards the Vogue

More feeback will be greatly appreciated

you will get more toys etc on the vogue as well.

looking at dealers, it seems the Vogue SE 57 plate, TDV8 with around 20k miles is around 40k.

Can someone point me in the direction where i can tell whats the difference between Vogue and Vogue SE

Or every time it went wrong you would have alternative transport or

an endless supply of bits

I have 2 and keep robbing bits off the project motor..

Ooops

Get the autobiography if u cn find one, its the top of the range with everything that the vogue, sport does not have. I have 1 with harmon kardon, playstation, tv in rear head rest to much to list.
