Been after a defender for all my life really. my cars on the way out so figured what better time than now :)

im torn between the 110 and the 90.

the 110 is winning my heart mainly as id use it for a work van type too. can throw all me tools in the back and lengths of coving on the roofrack.

So my next question is where do i start!
anythign in particular i should look for in the 110's? which engine? etc etc.
again landy noob.

First of all we need to know your budget... also what will you use the car for other than work? Off road use? Motorway work?
 
as above an idea of budget would be good. ideally you want to look for a lowish mileage (<120k miles) 200 or 300tdi in good nick with a chassis and bulkhead in good nick, etc etc

if you are going to use it for van type work get a hardtop, they are cheaper also. but station wagons hold their value better

you don't want a defender unless you're using it as a works van. Get a disco or a rangie.
