Morning, which is the correct workshop manual for this vehicle

185520519X
Land Rover Defender 1993-1995 Petrol and Diesel Workshop Manual Including 300Tdi Engine, Manual Gearbox and Transfer Box Overhaul Manual (Land Rover Workshop Manuals)

or

1855205041

Land Rover Defender 300Tdi 90. 110 . 130 1996, 1997 & 1998 MY Workshop Manual

I assume the former as it has the correct year and the 300 tai modifications?

thanks for your help

Looks like 2nd is an update on the former one, they seemed to do that quite a bit right back to the early series days.

Tbh you dont really need a manual, as all you want is on the net somewhere, the only time I use a manaul is for part numbers, and even then that is an online manual.

Landroverweb.com for pretty much every LR manual you can think of.

thanks - I do have a PDF version - just thought the actual book might be useful when outside working on it.

Iirc that website if you click on the particular manual and look at page 1 etc it does tell you the part number/date printed/revised etc, so maybe you can try pdf then look and buy paper version..

Totally agree.
Brought up in the days of a (Haynes) workshop manual with thumb-marks on the corners. Gets wet, dropped on the floor and splattered with oil but still going strong. :D

Then again, I still read books rather than having a Kindle (or whatever it's called).....
