My rear windscreen wiper doesn't work and I wanted to try and eliminate the little things before I take it in to be repaired properly in a garage so was wondering maybe if it's a fuse or something I can try it myself. Could some kind soul tell me where the fuse box is please? Also, where do I top up power steering fluid? I think mine may be low as it's making a little whining noise. It's either the fluid or it needs a new motor/pump whatever goes in there..

Superb, many thanks my friend. Going to attempt this little repair myself, not as confident as you guys pulling out engines and sunroofs and fixing things. I always end up with parts left over.

have you a camera phone take pictures of what ever you take apart as you strip. then you have your own manual on how to put back together. Not sure on rear wash wipe but there are relays and fuses under bonnet as well offside behind battery and jack compartment

power steering fliud is under bonnet on nearside you will have one or two containers (2 is for ace) you will see levels. Mine makes a slight noise going lock to lock but levels ok.

THanks again my friend. Two little jobs to look into tomorrow if this bloody wind and rain lets up.

The rear wiper circuit on the Disco 2 does have a fuse on the panel under the steering wheel. It's fuse number 18, a 15 amp fuse. Now here's the hard bit, if the fuse is OK and the wiper still doesn't work, then the relay and the timing device is on the IDM which is a fairly complicated circuit board (module) on the back of the fuseboard.

**** leaking sunroof fuse board on the way out due to water damage ????
cheers brian

It's usually the connectors that give trouble rather than the board itself, try taking it out and cleaning the contacts.

There are two fuseboards on the D2, one in the engine bay by the battery and one in the passenger compartment which we are talking about.

Thanks guys, all info and advice very much appreciated. The rain has stopped for half an hour it looks like and the wind has calmed a bit so i'm going to give it a looksee now. Unfortunately if I do need a fuse it'll have to be Hal'frauds as it's sunday :(
