Hi all

I have a series 3 which a po has put a 2.5ltr desiel lump in, i have to provide details to the insurance company because it is a modification. They have asked for the engine number and i can't find it, i have looked in the place i thought it should be (on the left hand side of the exhaust manifold) can anyone tell me where it should be on this engine?

Top of engine, beneath rocker cover on left as you look at it i think..

sorry is it on the engine block or cylinder head?

On the block...thats assuming its a landy engine...???

Ok i have checked and there is no number there and no signs of one been removed. What other engines are identical to the 2.5ltr Desiel landy ones?
