Hi all
I have a 2001 P38, 4.6 vogue with a harmon kardon alpine system as standard

I had no sound and have removed the sat nav unit and still no sound and also fitted
Another head unit which leaves me with the conclusion that the amp has gone.

I have just removed the cd player and the large sub unit expecting to find the harmon karmon amp
Behind it or below it but it is not there.

Where is the amp fitted in my car, is it behind the boot trim or if not where has land rover hid it?

I have a replacment hk amp to try if only I can find where it is.

If its in the boot it's well hidden cos I can't see it

I have removed the nav unit and the subs and the cd unit and there is no sign of any amp

Behind the trim thats behind the subwoofer. Screwed to the bulkhead.

Thanks, my girlfriend has my car at the moment as I have taken her silly Golf for its MOT today, when i get my Rangie back i will remove the trim and change the amp

Fingers crossed sound will return

You was so close ! Remove the sound deadening behind the sub and thar she be. eBay is your best bet. I managed to get a new one for $50 from America.
