Lazy Landy

New Member
Just gon to pull the landy into the garage and when i jumped in the cluch peadle feels as light as a punto (just pushing the return spring).

Went to the resovoir and there is just a bit sludge in the bottom.

Carnt see any obious signs of oil emerging from any ware along its route.

can any one sugest what it could be. I have a feeling that is the slave cylinder.

P.s. it was perfect when i got out last night!

It was the slave cylinder! not too botherd about having to replace that, but would this have contaminated the culc, witch i do mind haveing to replace!

Not nessesarily I'd just replace the slave cylinder and see how it goes. If you haven't got wading plugs fitted then the oil should just drain out of the bell housing.

Good tip for bleeding clutch. nearly fill empty washing up liquid bottle with brake fluid slide tube over tip, open slave cylinder bleed valve nipple push other end of tube over it. Remove top trom resevoir Squeeze bottle until resevoir nearly full. Tighten up bleed nipple, remove tube, replace top. You are now ready to go. As you have filled from the lowest point you have no need to bleed it. Making what can be an awkward two man job into an easy one man operation . Hope you find this helpfull. BB

Just finished bleeding the begger off! i guess a french man decided on the placement of the slave ctlinder as you probobly know.

I have an ez bleed but it would not fit properly so i done it by hand with the aid of a lump of wood to wedge the cluch down.

Bled mine today as well, I used a 10mm combination spanner a piece of 1/4" bore tube an old brake fluid bottle and a wife................................"That ones the clutch........................PRESS!!!!!!ok let go........................PRESS!!!!!!ok let go...............................PRESS!!!!ok let go............................."

Talking to a guy this evening and he reckons that the easiest way of bleeding the clutch is to take the brake hose off the front wheel and make up a bit of brake pipe to connect to the bleed nipple on the clutch then pump the brake, Job done.

I think that its worth a try.
