I need to get a new steering box for my disco 1 i seen a few over £200 but i need to find a good one under the £200 pound mark as xmas as took abit of cash well the mrs did not xmas,lol

Anyone know where i can find one Thanks

That's for the td5 mine is a 1993 200 tdi will it fit the same and i need one with the arm

paddocks will sell you a recon one with an arm for £210.ex vat. That includes a £100 surcharge which you will get back for your old one when you send it back.
Second hand ones are sometimes a waste of time as they can be heavy to turn if they are old and the seals may be shot from sitting round.
I'd get a new one mate.
Although if the seals have gone in yours you can get a full kit from island 4x4 for about £15.

How do i know if the seals have gone all i know is it's leaking yes i know about paddocks it seem's abit wrong selling a recon at that price and then have to send mine back .

if its leaking then yes the seals have gone. normally the bottom one above the drop arm. Trouble is over time a groove wears in the shaft and no amount of new seals will fix it.
I dont see how thats a bad price at £110 +vat as a brand new one is about £280.
