Hello ladies,

My freelander is needing some new high heels, er I mean tyres...

Aye, so... does anyone recommend a certain heel height or.. no, I mean... tyre width? sidewall?

It's got tiny 215's on it just now, but i'd like some better tyres. Of course, i'm on the mway to work most of the time but I stay in the middle of nowhere so travel about 10miles of country road too so I want something middle of the shoe stand... er, I mean road.

What can I fit under the arches? height and width?

Any ideas?

just put a set of 17 235 change from 16 but have hear of 18 go on ebay and get in touch with rochford tryers email them mate

I don't know what size to go for... I want more sidewall so 16 might be too big? I hope to put it on steroids (raise it suspension wise) in the future so I want larger tyres.

I'll contact Rochford and see what they say.

If you go for larger wheels i.e 17 or 18 inch, then you are limiting your tyre choice- with NO off road or all terrain options available to fit the Gaylander above 16 inch, and boy have I looked! (Check out the prices as well).
You will also REDUCE the tyre profile (wall height) if you go for a larger wheel.
Raising the suspension on a Gaylander doesn't mean that bigger tyres will fit- the coil over shock is a limiting factor as the base of the coil protrudes over the top of the tyre. Wheel spacers may be a better option.

I run 215/80 Kumho KL78's on 15" steel rims for laning, standard size on my 17" alloys.
