HI im currently looking for a set of wheels for my 85 defender 110, i currently have some shady looking standard ones with pretty poor tyres, i dont do many miles and would like some that are good in the snow, not much off roading really. Anyone has any available near newcastle of within an hours drive or so please get in touch thanks

I didn't think the wheels made that much difference to road holding?? Surely it's the TYRES that do that?? Have ya thought of looking on EBAY??

Yeah been looking through ebay, and theres a few kicking about just thought i would post a wanted on here also. the rims are looking a bit shoddy and was looking to update a little with a set of modulars or similar with some decent tyres for the snow.

Unless your current tyres are completely bald. Or your planning on winter laning trips. I wouldn't worry about new tyres. You'll be amazed at just how good a landy is in the snow. Even with road tyres fitted.

Ok thanks again, yeah ive heard there pretty good, as i say just fancied updating the look a bit with something more beefy looking, not too bothered about road noise etc as i will be doing very few miles due to this being my second car and just a bit of fun.
