I am going to collect my latest Landrover series 2a tomorrow, I am taking a few tools with me but can't remember the wheel nut size to take the right socket.

Could be a choice of 2, so measure the wheel nut, post it on here, then we'll be able to tell you which one to take.

I'll try to remember to look in my tool box when I get home, to let you know what the sizes are. Could even be both on the same vehicle (or even same wheel!)

Or 1 1/16 in Series III days, can't remember what the smaller size was.
There were actually 4 different nuts fitting 2 different stud diameters, but only 2 spanner sizes.

As above but you may as well take the whole lot. You might need all sorts of stuff.

Got my wheel changing kit out of the Land Rover as promised:
Small, Ser I, II, early IIa 1/2" Whitworth
Large, Late Ser IIA, III, RR, Discovery, 90/110/Defender 1 1/16" AF

Thanks for your help I took all the suggested sizes with ,but luckily didn't need to use them.
Just driven the Landy about 240 miles home the V8 & overdrive made it a lot easier.

24mm (Standard) and 27mm (Chuncky replacment) depending on what nut's you got fitted.
I would take a good socket set.
