Hi guys as the title says im after some advice on wheel bearings. Its come to my attention there are 2 kits one with a single seal and one with 2 seals! is there a way without taking apart my hub to find out what one i need. the vehicle in question is a discovery 1 300tdi on a R plate (1998) however the axle on there is from a discovery 1 V8 non ABS and not sure on what year it was.

also i notice there is OEM and Bearmach for both kits, should i get Bearmach or should i pay the extra and get OEM's

thanks in advance guys

Timken ... accept no substitute.
sounds good but there are still 2 problems lol
1, im on a tight budget and yes i know i will have to change them again in the probable near future but at £20 i dont mind that for now.
2, i still dont know if i need single or double seal kit!

all i know at this point is the axle came off a V8 discovery without ABS. other than that i have no clue what to be looking for or what sizes anything in it are. was hoping there would be a easy way to tell without having to take it apart first given i cant use my VIN to find out as the axle that came off was a 300tdi 1998 with ABS.

You should be able to get a timken wheel bearing kit for £20, I have had a few fro my 90.

Cheers
when i find out if its a 1 or 2 seal kit i need i'll look into trying to get a timken kit then i figured they would be in the 40-60 range.

this is one of the many reasons i like to run things passed you guys :)
thanks as always to everyone replying
