Can some one tell me what the black connection block is on the bulk head just below the ballast resistor, it has a wire looped between to terminals but no other wires go too it.

I have attached a picture.

its a starter solinoid thats bin bypast. have you now got a pre-engaged starter fitted?

ferget the bit about the pre engaged starter as ave had another look and it int got the other wires needed. i.e the batt to solenoid wire and the solenoid to starter wire. but its still a starter solenoid

Can I see a couple of open wires in that piccy

The whole under bonnet wiring is a mess, there seems to be more disconnected wires than there are connected ons. It does have the soleniod on the starter so that bit is reduntant but why did they not just take it off when the rewired the starter.

Oh I forgot to mention I can't find any relays, so how do things like the indicators and lights work. ???

relays hadn't bin invented when series wur new, fuses had only just come in then. Indicators will just have a flasher can and lights just run through the switch
