Apparantly I have a Disco tdi 300 XS and apart from some sticky on vinly below the rubbing strip and cloth covered seats with land rover on them I can't see any differance, although it comes up in the selection of models for insurance ??

iirc it was one of the better spec models in the range. half leather, alloys etc

No A/C, manaul sunroof, stickers on the side & alloys. Less to go wrong.

I think it was one that came near the end of the disco 1 run it has bits of every thing on it, export as wel,l A-C two manuall sunroofs alloys etc

Tbh most insurance companies don't care about trim levels these days.

I also have an XS and it seems to be the one just below the top of the range model (ES). The only difference ive noticed compared to the ES is I have manual not electric sunroofs and I have air con but not the pipes which pump it into the boot it just comes out the regular vents. Oh and the ES prob has full not half leather I think. Easy upgrades if you so felt inclined. Just an afterthought, do the boot aircon pipes also double as heater pipes? I bet they do, if so I may just stick them on the to do list.

There may be other things too but they are all I know.

Pretty much as nicey said, below ES, half leather,front fogs, manual sunroofs as standard but lots of options at cost.Nothing performancewise , unless EDC auto with extra horses and hassle,early D1 having a big deal about names , Ive had 200s with aircon,steps and the works with no letters - maybe it all just came as options,I forget.Looking around it seems to have come in with 300 facelift but this has been definitively listed on here before if you are inclined to search it out, put there by persons more knowledgable and reliable than myself !

I dont recall early D1 having a big deal about names , Ive had 200s with aircon,steps and the works with no letters - maybe it all just came as options,I forget.Mind you,I had an ES with only front aircon.
