Thin tube, leak off pipe size, badly rotted. Fits on this steel pipe and heads off to the egr filter area on the compressor side of the bulkhead. I've blanked the egr exhaust inlet btw.
Can I just plug the end of the steel pipe that the rotted hose connected to? Or do I need to fit a new length of tubeing?
Centre of pic is the steel pipe that the rotted hose connected to. It's proper rotted, crumbles between the fingers.

That rubber tube to the left of it is what goes to the metal tube in my pic above. Only just got home and had another look, the metal tube runs along the engine then 90 Deg bends around the front and connects via a short rubber hose to a round plate inline with the camshaft, what's that round thing, vac pump?

The round thing is indeed the vac pump.
